OUTING TO WELFORD PARK
The Garden Group rang an outing to the above which is between Newbury and Hungerford to see the Snowdrops, which were absolutely marvelous – carpets and carpets of them everywhere underneath all the trees and is flower beds and along the banks of the river.
It was a lovely day but so so cold. Everyone went straight into the restaurant for a hot drink and cake and then a quick look round part of the garden – back into the restaurant for a nice lunch – then out again to see the rest of the Park. We left at 3.30 p.m. due to the extreme cold but visited the restaurant again for a final hot drink and cake before we left.
