Jazz Appreciation

Aims and Objectives

To explore and experience the full history of this unique art form from the marching bands following WW1, Stride, the Hot 5 and Hot 7, Swing and Big Band, Be-Bop, Cool West Coast, the advances of 1959 and 1969, to EST and beyond.

The best jazz is apparently now coming out of Brazil and Scandinavia, and we will endeavour explore  these developments in the future.
