27 of us went up to the Vaudeville Theatre in London to see The Duck House. in March,
THE TRUTH about the expenses scandal!
Jonathan Miller and cast were great, very funny, sometimes rude, but hilarious. We had very good seats in this very old theatre, and could see all the cast’s expressions beautifully. In the row in front of us sat Betty Boothroyd, instantly recognisable as our ex Speaker of the House! You just never know who you are going to see!
In March we also went to see The Sleeping Beauty at Aylesbury. This was a live screening which we all enjoyed very much direct from the Royal Opera House by the Royal Ballet. A very good evening, not costing much, excellent seating, with an introduction by Darcy Bussell! It doesn’t come much better than that!
Today we had a great meeting of more than 40 people on our membership list who came to share a cream tea and information about what type of theatre production they would like to experience.
The following photos were taken at the meeting.
