Easter Craft Morning

Craft Activity Workshops

On 29 March the Social Team organised this morning of Easter-themed craft activities in the form of two workshops led by Sally from Sally’s Sewing Box and her daughter Alice, who provided all the necessary making materials. Many thanks to both of them for providing challenging but fun and sociable activities.  We were in two groups, doing first one workshop and then the other, with a break in the middle for necessary tea and biscuits.

The sewing workshop tested our precision!

Whereas the card-making gave full rein to our creativity and diversity!

There will now be lots of friends and relations getting unique handmade Easter cards or felt daffodil brooches. Everyone said they had had a lovely morning, and enjoyed doing something together which they might not have attempted alone. The morning was rounded off by a lunch of chilli con carne, salad and baked potato followed by pudding/cake.

Cathy Whiteway (Social Secretary) would like to thank Jenny Boorer and Valaine Bell for their help in the running of this event.
