Lunch at the Peacock Country Inn, Henton
This month a group of the members met at The Peacock Inn, Henton, for lunch. We had opted for a fixed price, two-course meal and could either choose a starter and main course or a main plus dessert. Starters included Wessex mushrooms with garlic croutons and prawn and chive risotto and for the mains steak & ale pie and salmon en croute proved very popular.
We were given a private room and everyone appeared to enjoy themselves.
For our March meeting, we have been challenged to make a tasty dish from tins and dry goods we have in the store cupboard.
We are a very friendly group and always welcome new members.
