A celebration of local food
Our region is blessed with a good range of local food producers and to celebrate this we set our members the challenge of coming up with a few recipes based on a local foodstuff. We were very pleased with the results as we sat down to sample several dishes showcasing local meats together with fresh produce grown in members’ gardens. Home-grown fruit also took centre stage in a tasty selection of cakes and desserts.
As for drinks we had local beer from the Chiltern Brewery but unfortunately had to look a bit further afield for the wine, which came from the Three Choirs vineyard in Gloucestershire.
