Recent meetings have included discussion about a variety of topics such as Kings and Princes and the 1980’s with some personal memories from then.

Group participation have included short talks on a “Topic of their choice” and family recollections about the First World War, which proved to be an emotional and informative meeting.

Our Group outing to Windsor Castle in September, included a private tour with the top guide who provided us with a wealth of interesting facts and insights of the people and the history of the castle.

Outside speakers have included topics such as the fascinating story of “The Oregon Trail” and Martin Sirot-Smith, former director of Sulgrave Manor,  who spoke about the ” Tudor Harvest and its customs”, wearing a velvet fur lined Tudor costume complete with codpiece!

Forthcoming meetings will include more group participation, and discussions plus speakers….on “The “25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall”,  and a talk by our local and now established author and U3A member, Chan Ling Yap.

All are welcome to attend ….see our monthly Calendar for details…we are a very friendly group!”
