Reflections and Star Tracks

September’s Photography Group meeting had some great prints on the theme of Reflections. A lot of us showed reflections in water, but Clive had some great shots of city reflections in modern glass tower blocks, and John showed great ingenuity and skill in his shots of fruit and mirrors.

Our Gadget of the Day was the Circular Polarising Filter, with a few video clips showing how this can be used to darken blue skies and cut out reflections from non-metallic surfaces.
The skills session looked at photographing start tracks (or star trails). This is explained in the Notes on our More on Photography page.
We finished up  by looking at our favourite photos from the trip to Ewelme last month. There was general regret that nobody had a picture of Garth ferreting through the rubbish bins.
