Theatre Group visit to see ‘American in Paris’

American in Paris at the Dominion Theatre

Wednesday 3 January

I hadn’t been well over Christmas and New Year so when the date for our trip crept up I was in two minds whether I really wanted to leave a nice warm bed and warm house to go up to London – but was I glad I did!

One of the best musicals I have ever seen, wonderful singing and dancing and such clever changing of props from one scene to the other.  The man who stole the show for me (although they were all good) was Ashley Day who played Jerry Mulligan.  He sang, he danced and smiled throughout. His acting was superb.

We were nice and warm in a very comfortable coach which picked us up from Stratton Road car park and arrived in London in excellent time for lunch or coffee and the trip on the way back made good time too.

All in all a great day out!

Do put your name down if you think you would be interested in our forthcoming trips.   We always have a coach to any of the regional theatres and London – such an easy relaxing way to arrive at a show!
